Montenegro

Montenegro is a truly a country of wild beauty. A beautiful land of glacial lakes and deep river gorges, where vertiginous peaks descend through pine forest to steel-blue water.

Favoured by film stars such as Sophia Loren, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor in the 1950’s, Montenegro later dropped off the jet-setters map, and is only just recovering. More recently James Bond (Daniel Craig) was here in 2006 with Casino Royale.

The crown jewel, the Bay of Kotor, the fjord-like natural harbour that Byron called “The most beautiful merging between land and sea”, Montenegro is now positioning itself for the most intensely beautiful boating experience. Even the Saudi Royal Family have now re-located its Golden Fleet of mega-yachts from Monaco!
